I have gone through and deleted the actual posts of the pics. However, I did NOT delete any posts that were of icons/graphics made from those pics. I'm thinking they may be an issue as well, but since I haven't heard anything specific I am leaving them up. You are free to remove your own posts of them if you wish to. Unless we hear otherwise in the future, any posts made of pictures from that shoot will be deleted without warning. Guess we'll just have to wait for that issue of People. =\ cmt / 12

QuikTrip to Throw a Party for Tulsa [24 Jul 2008|12:04pm] hanson [justawordaway] Hanson.net just posted about a music festival being held by QuikTrip in Tulsa: QuikTrip Corporation today announced it will be presenting a free music festival on Saturday, September 20th to celebrate its 50th anniversary. The event, to be held on the River Parks West Bank Festival grounds, will highlight Tulsa based performers, with Leon Russell and Hanson as the headline acts. The slate of nine bands will begin performing at noon and conclude at 9:30 p.m., followed by a fireworks show on the river. Free tickets will be available from all Tulsa area QuikTrip stores beginning September 2nd. Guests will have to have a ticket to enter. Free shuttle service will be provided from the parking lot just west of the QuikTrip Center at Expo Square. The festival will also be broadcast on CW 12/19 from 6:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. http://www.quiktrip.com/festival Darn. I can't go to Tulsa and my TV is broken so I won't be able to watch it on CW either. lol Oh well. Maybe someone will put it online. cmt

I've only recently really started buying MAC stuff, and although I *do* have a few (by that I mean about 8) shadows and a grand total of one pigment (plus two that are probably (well, one definitely) fake), plus a couple of fluidlines, it's not really very varied in colour. I have a lot of purple and neutralish colours but I really want to branch out. I currently have a £150 order awaiting my payday next Thursday with a couple brushes, some lip stuff, Rubenesque paint pot, Dainty mineralised blush, Plushlash, Studio Fix powder and a brow pencil, but after that I want to branch out into some colours so I want to know what shadows from each of the different colours would be good to start out with. I have a budget of about £150 for the payday after next one (so in three weeks - I <3 fortnightly pay), and shadows on the UK site are £10 each. Plus any pigments that you think would be "essential" buys would be good too :). Also, I would like to know what brush you all use for foundation? I have the 190 in my basket at the moment but is it any good? And so this isn't text only, a couple FOTDs from last week - one pre-haircut and one post-haircut (turns out I had a mullet - I blame McDonalds). The second one is one of my various attempts at trying to make Frostlite fluidline look good and failing. ( FOTDs ) cmt / 11

I'm Colleen, I used to post here allll the time and was pretty active with swaps and everything, but my life kind of got hectic and I stopped with MAC. However, it's luring me back, haha. Anyway, I had a fifteen pan palette with all yellow and orange eyeshadows that somehow got misplaced and It's been gone for like a year. I'm pretty bummed about it because I had a lot of limited edition ones in there, but such is life. Anyway, I'm searching for any orange or yellow shadows anyone has (except chrome yellow) in ANY SHAPE. Half used, barely used, potted, depotted, anything as long as I can stick it in a new 15 pan. I'm planning on making cupcakes for an early morning meeting and an afternoon party, both this Saturday. I'm going to bake the cupcakes today, but I probably won't have much time to frost them before then, so I would ideally like to frost them today as well. However, I want them to taste as fresh as possible and I'm worried about the frosting getting hard or just yucky before they are served. Is it advisable to frost them ahead of time, or should I just get up extra early and do it right before I serve them? Also, if I can frost them today, what's the best way to store them until then so they stay fresh? Any advice is much appreciated, and hopefully later this afternoon I will have photos to share if they turn out the way I want! Thanks everyone, and happy baking :-) cmt / 3

I'm looking at buying some used eyeshadows, blushes, and MSF's (oh gosh I think thats what they are...?) to begin with, and I was wondering if swiping them with a rubbing alcohol-soaked cotton ball would damage the product.
